|Opinion| Dear Big Companies, Stop Using Big Names For Attention: An Opinion
Hello dear fellow reader! This is an opinion post so if you get offended to things that you don't agree with, then please just leave this site because just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.
You see these big name companies like Vogue, Allure, and Adidas model the same person: Kendall Jenner. I personally don't have a thing against Kendall Jenner, but these companies really got to stop with this. Kendall can't walk or give out a good vibe. She's pretty much boring except for her slim figure, which most companies want for their clothing. She's everywhere, escpecially places she shouldn't be at (like on the cover of Vogue India and the runway)
Please, we need more diverse models out there. If your doing a photoshoot representing China, use a Chinese model. If your doing a photoshoot represent India, use a real Indian woman. If you're representing sports or athletics, use a REAL athlete. Don't go using Instagram models, or a famous person that has no affiliations with the subject.
Another problem is Instagram models taking over the runway. What happened to the good models like Naiomi Campbell? Nowadays they're just replacing them with models on Instagram that have a lot of followers. The big problem with this is that they don't look like what they seem. Most Instagram models nowadays are just photoshopped. For God's sake, they don't even know how to walk properly. It's not only just Instagram models, there are overrated models like Kendall and Gigi. Don't get me wrong, they're gorgeous on photoshoots, but not graceful on the runway. I'm not saying that if you have a bad walk, you're a bad model. Take Cara as an example. Cara's walk isn't the best, but she gives out good vibes whenever she's out there. Sometimes a good vibe can pass as a good walk.
As always,
